Sarah + Adam, Wedding at High Hampton Inn, Cashiers, NC, November 10, 2012

Saturday, December 29, 2012

Sarah and Adam's wedding was at High Hampton Inn located in Cashiers, NC in November after the mountain season had ended. It was a beautiful weekend and her wedding ceremony was located in the pavilion and her reception in the main dining hall of the Inn~
I loved her sage green bridesmaids' dresses and the guys floral tie in soft pale colors. The flowers were natural looking and evoked a summer garden. Congratulations to Sarah and Adam!

High Hampton Inn Wedding, August, 2012, Cashiers, NC

Monday, December 10, 2012

Bonnie wanted a forest woodland looking wedding to capture the natural beauty of the area of Cashiers, NC in western North Carolina. High Hampton Inn is a rustic but historic inn that has been in existence since the early 1900's. It exudes charm, natural beauty and tremendous trees, rock faces, and views.
Her bouquet is composed of calla lilies, fern curls, star of bethlehem, fern tips, orchids, rosemary, scabiosa pods, lotus pods and explosion grass~

Holly Chapple Wedding Design class at Faith Flowers, Atlanta, GA

Wednesday, November 28, 2012

I had the amazing opportunity to take a class from the floral designer extraordinaire, Holly Chapple.   She designs close to 150 weddings a year in the D.C. area, has 7 children, yes 7, teaches classes, tweets, blogs and has serious skills! See her work and active blog at HERE.
She is an inspiration to all of us independent wedding and event floral designers who often get lost in our studios and frenzy of wedding flowers out the door~
Enjoy the pictures....

how beautiful is this bridal bouquet she whipped up?...the pepperberry was the finishing touch!

Her smile is contagious~
