French country wedding at Lonesome Valley, NC, Sara and Andrew, September 2013~

Lonesome Valley was an exquisite venue for Sara and Andrew's french country inspired wedding surrounded by a dramatic granite wall as the backdrop and the beautiful forests of the highland plateau of western North Carolina. Located just outside of the mountain vacation town of cashiers, NC, Andrew's family has a home in Lake Toxaway where they vacation and relax in the cool and lush environment.

When I met Sara and her mother in law to be, Lori along with Missy of Asheville Event Co, I knew this was going to be a special wedding. Not only did I adore Lori and Sara (both are such sweethearts) but I equally loved their vision and we all worked together creating the way to make it work. The details of their wedding weekend continued until the week before the special event! And, the group of chosen vendors made me giddy with excitement! The phenomenal Brooklyn based photographer Josh Goleman was going to capture the weekend and I knew it was going to be beyond special.

Complete with bridesmaid in blush toned dresses and floral hair pieces and a chuppah adorned with soft palleted flowers and its backdrop, the details flourished to begin, the ceremony chuppah was draped with satin ribbons in the color pallet and each guest took a streamer and tied it onto the chuppah while making a wish or blessing for the couple. Cones made from old french music sheets held lavender petals for the guests to toss to the newly married couple. Barnwood boxes lined the ceremony pathway to look as though they were walking through a wildflower garden.

Kind protea, tuberoses, garden roses, large leaf eucalpytus, brunia, banksia, and a long garland of eucalyptus covered the wooden chuppah frame. The bouquets, centerpieces, cake flowers, cocktail tables and head table had the soft palleted flowers that were combined with the silver mercury glass, pewter candleabra, french urns, unique lace tablecloths and farm tables. The guests felt as though they were having a dry evening under the stars of the french countryside, au naturel!

I forgot to mention that the catering was by the famed Canyon Kitchen and award winning chef John Fleer! It just doesn't get much better than this~I was so honored to be a part of this fabulous wedding weekend! Many blessing to the Bell and Silverman families and especially Sara and Andrew!
